Why Use Fuel Additives? - Exocet Fuel Additives
Exocet Additives are used throughout the UK to upgrade fuel quality and reduce field problems.
With an inconsistent quality in base fuels, the performance of boilers and machinery can be compromised. To prevent this issue additives can be used to increase fuel quality and maximise efficiency. Fuel management is essential to maximise efficiency and meet operational needs.
- Improves the burn quality of domestic kerosene used in range style cookers & where vaporising burners are used.
- - Reduces the Char value of fuel, carbon deposits & soot.
- - Improves combustion & maintain a cleaner burn for longer.
- - Inhibits growth of deposits in oil tanks.
- - Increases fuel shelf life & reduces service problems.
Why Is This Important?
- Fuel quality & fuel management is (or should be) a critical part of any business
- The UK & Ireland have fuel specifications that often puts them at odds with specifications & standards used elsewhere, & those used to calibrate ‘global’ equipment
- New engines & boilers are not necessarily suited to current fuel quality
- Fuel sulphur reduction has, through a series of unintended consequences, caused quality problems
- Environmental awareness is calling for higher quality fuels
- Variable quantity & quality of biodiesel additives
- Fuel imports & the use of cheaper components has resulted in poorer quality fuels
- Fuel additives can solve problems, improve combustion performance, reduce unwanted emissions & aid fuel economy
Specification for optimum combustion, improving fuel economy. Prevents oxidation and maintains fuel to its original performance. Reduces carbon formation helping to keep fuel pipes clean and clear.
- Inhibits growth of deposits in fuel storage tanks
- Increases The fuel shelf life
- Lowers char value
- Reduces build up of carbon deposits and soot
- Minimises the potential for fuel tank corrosion
- Keeps your boiler in good shape, reducing service problems
- 200ml bottle treats, 1,000 litres of heating oil
Exocet Premium Heating Oil Additive
Can be used to create a premium grade fuel - for use with domestic kerosene (BS2869:C2). Domestic boilers lose their efficiency between services without the owner being aware. Build-up of deposits and partially blocked nozzles can cause incomplete chemical combustion. This means that your boiler will overwork and fire more often to burn more fuel to achieve the same temperature.
- Improves system efficiency
- Lowers carbon emissions
- Reduces deposit build up around nozzles and on heat exchanger surfaces
- Stabilises fuel
- Increases fuel shelf life
- Keeps your boiler in good shape, reducing service problems
- Inhibits sludge formation
- 200ml bottle treats, 1,000 litres of heating oil
Exocet Kerosene Lubricity Additive
Typically used with gas oil or diesel when kerosene is used in lieu,in stationary equipment.
- Creates a barrier to reduce contact, friction and wear
- Prolongs equipment life
- Forms a protective film on the metal surfaces
- Each 1 litre bottle treats up to 5,000 liters of kerosene
