Designed to assist in emergency situations, the manual quick release panic button is suitable for use with either a Free Fall Fire Valve (FFV) or an Oil Solenoid Valve. Designed for use with fusible link operated free fall fire valve systems, providing manual release. Pressing the red push button will release the fire valve cable tension, allowing the valve to close by gravity. No power is required to operate the manual version of the panic button. Usually positioned next to an Exit doorway in a plant room or generator enclosure. Other uses include testing fire valve systems as well as providing manual fire valve closure in an event where the fusible link is likely to melt, triggering valve closure.
